CHORDS AND STRUMMING TECHNIQUES

STANDARD NOTATION, TABLATURE AND MUSIC THEORY
Tablature, or tab, is a notation method used by string instruments to memorize a melody quickly. The tablature doesn't tell you how long to play a note for, however, due to it being regularly notated with a standard notation, you'll be able to get the beat and note names as well as the precise fretting-hand fingerings.
